Tariq has over 20 years experience in the Lloyd’s and London market across AIG, Lloyd’s, Sagicor, Advent/Fairfax, Riverstone and Sompo. His experience includes not only Political Violence/Crisis Management/War & Terror underwriting but also performance management at Lloyd’s (where he was a performance management executive), being the Active underwriter of the Advent Lloyd’s Syndicate and the Chief Underwriting Officer of Riverstone. He has a strong record of achieving profitability cross-cycle as well as a reputation for developing new markets. Tariq has received a number of awards across his career having won Insurance Insider Underwriter of the Year in 2015 and Intelligent Insurer Rising Star in 2016.
