Johann Formosa is the Registered Insurance Manager and Cell Management Committee Member of Alchemy Underwriting Europe Cell of Jatco Insurance Managers PCC Limited. Johann has been working in the insurance industry since 2013 after graduating from the University of Malta in BCom Banking & Finance and Insurance (Melit.).
He began his career in the General Business Department of Jatco Insurance Brokers PCC Ltd where he handled private and commercial policies in every class of insurance that Jatco Brokers offer and was also the registered broker of a Cell within Jatco Insurance Brokers PCC Ltd. In 2020, Johann joined Lockton European Brokers Ltd as an Account Manager where he mainly dealt with Professional Indemnity and Directors and Officers Policies for Financial Services clients.
Subsequently in 2021, Johann re-joined Jatco Brokers as a Cells Insurance Manager focussing on cell applications and went on to supervise the created cells as a shadow registered insurance broker. In 2023, Mr Formosa joined Jatco Insurance Managers PCC Ltd as General Manager. He currently acts as the Registered Insurance Broker and General Manager of two insurance brokers being managed by Jatco Insurance Managers PCC Ltd. Mr Formosa has been registered in the MFSA Insurance Brokers Register since 2017 and in the MFSA Managers Register since 2023.
